Annoying.
I hate it when couples call each other "babe" or "baby." It grates on my nerves in a particularly obnoxious fashion. I would rather hear them refer to each other as "Pookie" or "Snookums." Does "baby" bug the crap out of anyone else? Seriously, it just makes me want to barf! A baby is an infant human. Therefore, referring to Sean as my "baby" would be inappropriate and morally bankrupt on many levels.

There are a few people who can pull off the "baby," but the great, great majority cannot. I personally prefer the "honey." I actually almost never call the Dear Husband by his given name, nor he, me. It sounds weird now. :-P
