I am SO tired of hearing about Miley freaking Cyrus. Actually, there are a lot of celebrities I'm tired of hearing about, and I'm tired of the way our culture worships them.
Take Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt, for example. They had twins recently. Some magazine paid $11 MILLION DOLLARS to take pictures of the babies. News flash, America: people have babies EVERY DAY!
Maybe if we devoted some of the time, money, and attention to non-celebrity babies that we give to celebrity babies-- like the ones who are starving in Africa -- we could make the world a better place.
Now, I admit that I read celebrity news columns every day. This is because I'm extremely bored at work and I like following pop culture to a certain extent. But I in no way feel entitled to know everything about the private lives of these people, and I certainly don't think their children are any more important than anybody else's.
Can't we think of anything better to do with our time, America?
